Cloches

Love,  love, love cloches...why are they so hard to find in Aus...or am I just looking in all the wrong places???
I have seen a couple but they are far too expensive...

Maybe I'll just grow my own!!!!!!!!!!

Have a lovely Sunday

Kym X

Apologies if these images are yours..please let me know and I will link them to you.

  1. Kym, I am so 'with you' on this one! I love cloches too and bee skips for that matter, but they are so difficult to find here and when you do they are so expensive!!! Hmm maybe a business opportunity waiting to be pounced on? Love your gorgeous pictures, thank you for sharing and if I ever find any reasonably priced ones on my travels I will be sure to let you know:) Hope you are having a wonderful weekend ~ Tina xx

  2. Kym Im hearing you , had the same thoughts. Whenever I have seen them it has always been $80-$120 & if I am going to have a garden of them well you do the maths. Love your post , you are more & more clever every day.

  3. Hi Kym. I have to agree with you and the other girls, they are hard to come by here! I've got only two - one I found on eBay (love it...it's an antique aged silver cake stand with a glass cheese dome on top though it looks perfect) and one was a gift I would never have payed for myself (it's a grey wire one with a fleur-de-lis on top). I think a good alternative is attaching plates or disks to candle sticks and finding cheap glass cheese domes in dollar stores!

  5. Tell me about it! The closest I've got are a cake plate with glass domw cover and a cheese dome.
If you ask me, the person in the last picture is just being greedy...share the love I say!

  6. Hi Kym, they arent actually too hard to find if you do the rounds of the op shops. I do come across them reasonably often in that they are usually for something else ie. the glass dome off the top of a cheese board. they dont cost much either. Actually i found a great one yesterday that was originally a candle holder, will have to do a blog post on it soon!

  9. Kym,
THANK-YOU for your visit and beautiful comment on my Stationary re-styling art to it.

I love cloches as well, I had far to many and started to sell them off in my small shop, big regrets :( I thought I could replace them and found out the market shows so many but they are hard to find now!! I aquired all mine in the 80's and 90's i have about five left that I will not let loose of :)

Will be back to take in some inspiration over here!
