Ruffle Quilt

I have been drawn to beautiful ruffle quilts lately, and after spying some in a local design store,  thought I would like to have a go at making one myself.

As usual, the price to purchase such gorgeousness here in Australia, is way to much. Making one would cost half the price.

My dilemma.... I'm not sure how to approach this one.
I have made a number of quilts before and was thinking it was a similar approach to the raggy quilt.
But after further inspection I'm not so sure.
The look I'm after is similar to the first image.... can anyone help? Do you sew  ruffles over the top or is the process similar it to a raggy quilt?

Nice to see a few new followers...welcome....

Wishing you a fabulous weekend

  2. Hi Kym
I think by looking at the raggy quilt instructions it would be a similiar process.
I'd just give it ago it would be an awesome project. You've got me thinking.
