Christmas mantle envy

I absolutely love this time of the year. You can begin to feel a change as everyone starts to rush around preparing for Christmas.
Everything becomes much more urgent as all those jobs and activities must be completed before the big day!
I'm not sure why we feel that way, but I love the fact that there is also a feeling of togetherness.......

But I must admit I am also just a lot little envious of all the beautiful Christmas mantles......

When Mr K and I bought this little home, we seriously considered putting in a gas log fire and a gorgeous mantle to match... but after much consideration, we could not find a position to put it and therefore eventually decided against it.....

So when it comes to this time of the year, I am consumed by Christmas mantle envy..... how could I not be after spying these gorgeous examples.......
